      Join the Lung Health Foundation for Better Breathing Week 2025, January 21-22 (virtual) and January 24-25 (in-person at Toronto’s Intercontinental Hotel). Highlights include sessions on COPD guidelines, severe asthma in primary care, vaping health risks, and LHF’s new online support community.     2. Ultrasound Guided Arterial Line Insertion
      Continuing Education at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN, this workshop is intended for ultrasound novice RRTs and/or AAs.
    3. Inspired Breathing Events
      Lung Sask has long been associated with leadership in health professional continuing education on a national scope. Our Inspired Breathing initiative is committed to hosting a series of professional education events (free of charge) each year that are evidence-based and align with Canadian guidelines. Most events are offered virtually, nationally, and available on-demand whenever possible for all respiratory therapists and health care professionals. We partner with key opinion leaders from across Canada and industry champions in lung health to deliver these events. Participants are also able to log learning hours for their continuing education learning portfolios.
    4. Advanced Neonatal Care for the Respiratory Therapist
      Conestoga College, Continuing Education – Neonatal care is a crucial component of the health care system, and respiratory therapists are core members of the interprofessional neonatal care team.
    5. Calendar of Health Promotion Days from Health Canada
      Health Canada Online’s Calendar of Health-Related Days lists health-related days, weeks and months that have been announced by recognized health organizations and are recognized throughout the health professional community.

      Offers courses/programs for health care professionals to obtain specialized skills aiding cancer patients throughout their journey (prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and palliation). de Souza Institute courses are offered primarily online with the occasional course through Ontario Telemedicine Network or in-person.
